Sorry, Reece. I adore Triangle of Sadness, which is reminiscent of Lina Würtmuller's classic Swept Away, at least the final third is. I've screened it about four times so far. Experiencing this jolting film is like attending a zoo of human madness. You never know where Triangle is going as it dissects every aspect of the modern era's caste system. Whatever divides us, whether beauty or money or politics or untethered self-absorption, Östlund tackles it. Also, there is Dolly De Leon's award-nominated performance as a deliciously, justifiably vindictive cruise worker who gets her revenge. She's quite superb. So if you have an off-kilter sense of humor and appreciate a film that dares to explore our unwieldy carryings-on in an unwieldy manner, look no further. As Ann Hornaday notes in The Washington Post: "As always with Östlund, his most profligate flights of fancy tack close enough to reality to ring queasily true."
